Is PowerPoint Evil?

 PowerPoint is an affective software that can be used in the class to teach students by presenting many slides and images and anything that needed for the teaching process. Although PowerPoint has an affect on the teaching process it also controls us to work and present the same as the system wants. Where we can't go over it to fit our needs.

What can you do now that we were not able to do a year ago:

 The movement from traditional way of teaching that was based on the teacher and student to the technology integration is the main thing that we are able to do now and weren't before. After practicing and developing our students and the teachers on the usage of technology where we are able now to teach assess and evaluate our students from a distance at anytime and any place. Before we have to make a class to meet in, now we can meet on a platform anytime we need and can explain or solve even though each member is in a different area or even different state. Also what can we do now different than before is that we can contact the parents and students at the same time from a distance they can be able to have all the information even they are at work.

Working online to avoid problems:

 Students should be taught when working online to avoid problems problems in the session. During the online session there can occur many problems that we should control at as teachers and avoid them. First you should make sure that your internet connection is secure. Internet is very important since it is the mean that makes us communicate and meet with the students. Another thing is to keep your privacy setting on and to control your class. It is very important to to control your class and work in rules that students should follow. Controlling your class should be personally and technical, that is you should put rules and students should follow them, and if any student don't follow the rules you can control the class by technical issues as needed in the session. 

Challenges you face when learning/teaching online:

 Teaching online was considered to be a challenge by itself last year, since it is the first time to shift from face to face teaching in classes to  a new way using the the technology and from a distance. One of the main challenges that I faced was how to make my students provided by the technology appliances and enhance their skills on using them. Another challenge was how to make exercises and activities to motivate my students and to get them engaged in the teaching learning process. More over another challenge was that how to evaluate my students in the correct way, since many of their parents were helping them in home works and in solving the exams. So the learning teaching online process was itself a challenge since it is a new way in teaching and preparing the students for life. 

Tools in online assessment:

 Assessment is an important part of the teaching learning process, and due to the online way of teaching in these days there should be an online assessment to the students. One of the ways to assess the students is by presenting live work. This will provide the teacher by an information about his students' ability and work. Another way to assess the students is by giving them project works. This will make the students work and practice what they read and also this will enhance their skills. Also assessment can take place by grouping students into small groups and give them works to share and do together. 

Digital citizen:

 Being a digital citizen is very important in these days because of the integration of technology in all aspects of life. To be a digital citizen you should have the great knowledge about the technology applications and instruments used in life fields and specially in the teaching field. You should have a sufficient skills in the usage of technology so you will be able to enhance yourself and will be able to improve your teaching process and your students. Being a digital citizen also by improving your knowledge about technology to communicate with others, this will lead you to participate in the society and get involved in life.

Integrating technology into teaching:

 Technology is a mean that can be used to enhance the teaching learning process. Through technology we can access more ideas and skills in teaching. By integrating technology in the teaching process many things will be easier and powerful, they will provide meetings from a distance at any time from different places. Technology eases the way we meet and connect with the students even though they are away, it also provides the more ways of practicing and sharing information with students. It is a way to practice and solve exercises at the same time from many students also it can be used to form exams and tests.

1. What I liked about this course is the improving my skills in teaching learning process. Where I learned new ideas and things that helps me to teach my students and enhance them and the teaching process. This course is a way to get into the teaching learning process through technology. It helps me to be on the right rank since the era is now shifting to use technology more than before.

2. What I wish was different in this course only one thing if we are learning in the campus so we can act and share more information. Although we can share it from a distance. Using more technology at the university keeps us in contact with the new teaching skills.
